This thesis covers work done as a junior software developer in a mid-sized company from 28th of January to 12th of April 2019. The format of the thesis is a report of daily tasks performed during this 11-week span. They are described and analyzed on daily and weekly basis. Most of the task consists in developing new functionalities for company’s ERP system specialized in industry processes.
The objective of this thesis is to observe author evolution as a software developer. First the author describes his initial situation, then explains what his daily tasks consist in, analyze them on weekly basis and finally compare them to the initial observations.
The content of this thesis can be helpful for students, trainees, junior software developers or any individual who might be interested in what can be daily professional life of a software developer in a mid-sized company at an early stage of his career and what might be expected from him.
