The aim of this bachelor’s thesis was to develop a modern webstore with minimalistic design, appropriate for businesses with customization and scalability in mind. Nadaasi Oy is a Finnish garment design company with majority of online customers. The availability of a custom product that fits the customer’s needs was the priority.
The project was developed using the MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, and Node) stack. This is a technology commonly used in modern web applications. Being just introduced to these technologies, the author aims to study and experience the full-stack web development for the project.
The webstore was handed over to the client after completion. The basic website with primary features such as a login system and dashboard, were ready along with additional features, such as product customization. This project provides an excellent backbone for a webstore and with minor modifications, this can be applicable for different stores with different products.
