Tiivistelmä
The purpose of this paper is to explore strategies for visualizing the joint service offerings for the Baltic Sea Underground Innovation Network, (BSUIN) project. The project’s principal members come from Oulu University of Applied Sciences (Oamk) and the BSUIN network project. The base and the subject topic of this thesis was chosen for the purpose of generating visualization ideas for the services offered by the project.
The objective of the BSUIN project is to create underground laboratories in the Baltic Sea region more accessible for innovation, science and business development through better information about the services in the underground facilities, the operation, safety and user experiences. Through the process of the offering life cycle techniques, the report also aims to establish suitable visualization strategies in each phase of the life cycle. The study applied is the qualitative research approach method involving collection of information from reliable sources such as previous studies websites, reports, academic/eBooks and articles.
The compilation of the visualization techniques is the outcome of the gathering and analysing of all the information which aims to solve the main problem of the research. Visualization will consist of the service visualization concepts developed during the creation workshops for the BSUIN project. The outcome is the most applicable techniques of service visualization for both the essential and additional services for the project to persuade and attract the customers to buy or experience their services.
For more research, sufficient knowledge about the market’s interests and well knowledgeable marketing persons could be worked on to achieve the desired results. The underground laboratories could implement unique individual visualization strategies before merging them in accordance with the cost, price, demands and benefits to both BSUIN project as well as to the customer.
