Tiivistelmä
The goal of this master’s thesis was to formulate and create employee personas. The study was needed to improve the organization’s internal functions, such as communication and training, and to support supervisor work. In addition, the aim was to study what kind of employee personas can be found in the organization. Service design methods were used to gather understanding of employees' experiences.
The research questions of the thesis were: How to create employee personas with service design? How can organization use personas? How can employee personas be implemented? The study follows the Double Diamond design process, which includes four phases: discover, define, develop and deliver. Design thinking and service design methods were used to gather understanding of employees' thoughts and working methods. The methods and tools used during the process are literature review, interview, benchmarking and co-creation.
As a result of the study, employee personas are created. In addition, tips on how to face the personality in the work community, internal communication, instructions and training, and development tasks were compiled for each employee persona. The study showed the characteristics, differences and strengths of the personalities, as well as what can be developed.
