Tiivistelmä
This study explores the profound impact of drama education on Chinese children and adolescents and its effective teaching methods. Drama education not only enhances students’ dramatic skills but also significantly improves their social abilities, emotional expression, and cognitive development. Through drama activities, students can increase creativity, self-confidence, and teamwork while deepening their understanding of cultural narratives and artistic expression.
Integrating drama education with subjects like natural science, historical-cultural studies, or other art forms can effectively stimulate students’ interest and motivation in learning these traditional subjects. Using live-streamed classes and practical learning experiences increases student engagement, making the learning process more vivid and interesting. Promoting drama education will bring revolutionary changes to future education.
This study adopts a mixed-methods approach, collecting data through action research from children and their parents in both online and offline teaching environments. Methods include video recording and feedback collection. Results show that drama education significantly enhances students’ creativity, self-confidence, and social abilities. Immersive and interactive drama activities improve performance skills and emotional expression, with parental feedback confirming these positive effects.
The study identifies challenges educators face in evaluating the effectiveness of drama education strategies. Researcher used various assessment tools, including observations, teaching journals, and parental feedback, to comprehensively understand students’ learning trajectories. To meet the diverse needs of students of different ages and abilities, teachers must continuously adjust the complexity of drama activities to ensure inclusivity and a sense of achievement.
Based on these findings, the study proposes strategies to enhance drama education, such as integrating imitation learning, experiential learning, and action research; encouraging emotional expression and experiential engagement; and leveraging modern technology to enhance interactivity. The research emphasizes that promoting drama education can bring revolutionary changes to educational practices, enrich the learning process, and foster comprehensive student development.
