This thesis explores ways to increase Finnish tourism in Nepal by studying what Finnish travelers enjoy and expect when visiting. The main goal was to identify areas where Nepal’s tourism sector can improve to attract more Finnish visitors. The study looks closely at how communication, sustainability, and infrastructure can be enhanced, as well as the role Nepal’s culture and traditions play in drawing tourists.
The research used secondary data sources, like tourism reports and statistics, to analyze Finnish tourists’ preferences and levels of satisfaction. Although initial efforts to gather direct feedback from tourists and organizations did not work out, focusing on available data provided useful insights, particularly about tourism in Kathmandu.
The findings suggest that improving communication, promoting sustainable tourism, and enhancing infrastructure can make Nepal a more appealing destination for Finnish tourists. Collaborating with local organizations and international partners could help promote Nepal’s cultural heritage effectively. This study offers guidance for tourism stakeholders and suggests further research into sustainable practices, communication effectiveness, and the cultural impact of tourism on Nepal.
