Tiivistelmä
This handbook introduces the reader to the core of maritime cluster operations and provides a comprehensive guide to managing information and cybersecurity in operational technology (OT) environments. The broad field of the maritime cluster – shipping, shipyards, shipbuilding, port operations, logistics and maritime traffic management – is a critical part of national and international security. The handbook offers practical solutions to ensure this safety.
With digitalisation, information and cyber security has become increasingly important, and this handbook clearly explains how standards and regulations can be applied to the OT environments of the maritime cluster. It contains detailed guidance on how to identify, assess and manage risks, through practical examples.
The handbook also introduces a management model based on management engagement, covering information security policy, access management, physical security, and continuity management. It also highlights the importance of supplier and supply chain management and provides concrete guidance for assessing and monitoring suppliers.
The handbook will not only help maritime cluster operators protect against cyber threats and ensure business continuity, but will also increase customer and stakeholder confidence in an organisation's ability to manage information and cybersecurity. This handbook, prepared in cooperation between Turku University of Applied Sciences and Fintraffic, is an essential tool for anyone who wants to ensure the safety and continuity of their operations in the digital world.
