Integraatioasiantuntijuuden kehittyminen projektityössä

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli analysoida, millainen vaikutus käytetyillä toimintamalleilla on integraatioasiantuntijuuden kehittymiseen projektityössä, sekä kehittää uusia toimintamalleja, jotka mahdollistavat tehokkaampien tulosten saavuttamisen. Työn toimeksiantajana oli IT-yritys, jossa tekijä aloitti työskentelyn opintojen loppuvaiheessa. Raportointi toteutettiin päiväkirjamuotoisena, jossa dokumentoitiin tekijän työtehtäviä ensimmäisessä asiakasprojektissa integraatioasiantuntijan roolissa kymmenen viikon ajalta. Toimintamallien analyysi rajattiin valittuihin teemoihin: tekniseen osaamiseen ja tietojärjestelmien hallintaan, projektityöskentelyyn ja yhteistyöhön sekä ongelmanratkaisukykyyn ja jatkuvaan kehittymiseen. Tietoperusta koostui jokaisen teeman nykytilanteen kuvauksesta, viitaten keskeisiin tutkimuksiin, tarkasteluihin ja ehdotuksiin. Työn tulokseksi syntyi arvokkaita havaintoja käytettyjen toimintamallien käytön kannattavuudesta jatkossa ja niiden pohjalta tarpeiden mukaisesti kehitettyjä vaihtoehtoisia toimintamalleja. Teknisen osaamisen ja tietojärjestelmien hallinnan näkökulmasta työkalujen perusteellinen haltuunotto oli keskeisessä asemassa tehokkaissa toimintamalleissa. Huomioiden projektityöskentelyn ja yhteistyön, selkeän ja ajantasaisen kommunikaation todettiin tuottaneen parhaimpia tuloksia. Ongelmanratkaisukykyä ja jatkuvaa kehittymistä edisti keskittyminen ongelmatilanteiden tarjoamiin mahdollisuuksiin asiantuntijuuden kehityksen kannalta.

The aim of this thesis was to analyze the impact of the different approaches used on the development of integration expertise through project work and to develop improved approaches for achieving more efficient results. The work was conducted for an IT company, where the author began employment during the later stages of her studies. The reporting was carried out in the form of a diary, documenting the author’s tasks during the first customer project she participated in as an integration specialist over a ten-week period. The analysis of the approaches focused on the selected themes: technical competence and information systems management, project work and collaboration, as well as problem-solving skills and continuous development. The theoretical background consisted of a description of the current state of each theme, drawing on key research, reviews, and recommendations. The results of the thesis included valuable insights into the viability of reusing the applied approaches and alternative approaches developed for future use. From the standpoint of technical competence and information systems management, mastering the tools used thoroughly played a key role in effective approaches. Considering project work and collaboration, clear and up-to-date communication was identified as producing the best results. Problem-solving skills and continuous development were fostered by focusing on the opportunities provided by challenging situations to advance expertise.
