Tiivistelmä
This thesis explored a specific problem encountered by KDU, a university in Sri Lanka which provides architectural education services. The problem relates to the quality of architectural education with an issue that has arisen in facilitating design tutoring for bachelor students of the faculty of Built Environment and Spatial Sciences, KDU Southern Campus. The topic related problem identified by this researcher based on his own experience when participating as a design tutor during his professional practicing as an architect in Sri Lanka. The aim of this study was to cultivate deep empathy on user stakeholder segments to achieve a deep understanding of the problem. This study employs a service design process which utilizes the double Diamond method to find user-centered solutions to facilitate better design tutoring and enhance the quality of architectural education provided by the commissioner to increase quality, profitability and sustainability of the service.
