The Hiphop in Finland seminar explored Hiphop as an artistic, pedagogical, and socio-political movement, highlighting its role in community-building, identity formation, and decolonization. Keynote speeches, workshops, and discussions examined hip-hop as a theatrical and educational tool, emphasizing inclusivity and creative expression. Sessions addressed representation in Finnish Hiphop and its resistance to dominant cultural narratives. Through participatory exercises, the seminar underscored hip-hop’s evolving role in fostering empowerment and social change. The event reinforced the significance of hip-hop beyond entertainment, positioning it as a transformative force in education and cultural discourse.
