Tiivistelmä
This thesis focuses on improving how Cross Wrap Oy manages its inventory by using a method called ABC analysis. ABC analysis is a way of categorizing products based on their value and consumption so that the company can focus more on the high-cost items and manage them more carefully. Also, the company can properly track their high-cost themes. The main objective of this thesis is to conduct an Excel-based ABC analysis of Cross Wrap machines and components. Compare the prices between machines for better cost management. Develop an automated Excel file to analyze future use. By doing this ABC analysis, the company can reduce unnecessary costs and ensure that products are available when needed.
The research uses Microsoft Excel to analyse data about the prices of different parts and components provided by the company. Based on the price, the parts and components are divided into three categories:
• Category A includes the most expensive items.
• Category B contains moderately priced items.
• Category C consists of the cheaper items.
This method will help Cross Wrap manage its inventory more efficiently by making sure the company spends its resources wisely. By focusing more on high-value parts, the company can reduce the amount of money spent on low-value parts and avoid having too much stock sitting in storage. Which leads to reduced inventory waste and costs. This thesis aims to create a smarter and more cost-effective system for managing inventory, which will lead to better decision-making and ultimately save the company money in the future.
