Tiivistelmä
Creating a game-ready character requires understanding the full technical pipeline, including 3D modeling, retopology, UV mapping, texturing, rigging, animation setup, and integration into a game engine. The aim of this work was to outline the essential steps commonly used in professional character creation workflows and demonstrate those methods through a real project.
The researched methods were applied by producing a stylized example character, the Toast Knight. Blender was used for modeling, sculpting, retopology, and rigging, Substance Painter for baking and texturing, and Unity served as the target game engine.
The results show that following a structured workflow helps maintain both technical quality and a consistent visual style when creating a game character. The final model was successfully prepared for use in a game engine, highlighting how a clear and organized approach can improve the char-acter creation process.
