GreaterIO’s transition from a traditional PHP-based environment to the Node.js ecosystem was explored through the integration of a headless CMS solution. The study evaluated the use of Contentful with two leading JavaScript frameworks, Next.js and Gatsby. The research objectives were defined to compare the frameworks based on performance metrics, scalability, and developer experience. A mixed-methods approach was used; quantitative benchmarks were measured, and qualitative evaluations were conducted using functional prototypes. The theoretical framework was based on modern web development practices and emerging trends in headless CMS integration. Prototypes were developed and integrated with Contentful, and performance data was collected and analyzed. It was found that each framework exhibits distinct strengths in terms of build time, runtime performance, and integration complexity. The conclusions and recommendations developed provided actionable insights that supported the decision-making process to establish a scalable and efficient CMS at GreaterIO
