Tiivistelmä
Working from home and distance with technological developments and external events redefined the environment. The study is informed by a dual theoretical lens of Person-Environment Fit and Conservation of Re-sources. Concepts central to the study are flexibility, autonomy, digital connectivity, and organizational support. The study utilizes a quantitative method using a web-based survey to measure employees' perceptions and experiences in different dimensions.
The research shows that working from home increases flexibility and de-creases commuting strain, these in themselves do not necessarily produce greater general well‐being. Disadvantages, including social isolation and work–life boundary-blurring, are important to some employees. The findings highlight the need for a wide‐range support system, underpinned by transparent policies and open communication, to counteract negative effects.
