During the course of this diploma project, a prototype information system for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) was developed on the basis of the industrial IoT platform ThingWorx. The system includ-ed a database that stores a set of configurable KPIs and their daily values, and an interactive web inter-face (dashboard) for displaying these data with the possibility of manual input and automatic updating.
As a result, the developed interface could be used in a production monitoring system at an enterprise. Specialists will be able to track the progress of the production process daily, promptly enter actual data (where automation is difficult) and see which indicators require attention.
The system can be expanded further. An interesting direction is the introduction of notifications: when red zones appear, alerts can be automatically generated for responsible persons. It is also possible to imple-ment a change history and an undo function for manual input. From a data perspective, real-time KPI collection can be integrated, using ThingWorx Value Streams for continuous data and aggregating them by day. Another step is to connect analytics: based on the collected data, build forecasts for achieving KPIs by the end of the week or perform correlations between indicators. The ThingWorx platform provides the necessary tools for this (Analytics Extension, machine-learning integration, etc.).
