Aloittelevan ohjelmistokehittäjän arki

Abstract

Tämä päiväkirjamuotoinen opinnäytetyö seuraa aloittelevan ohjelmistokehittäjän arkea 8 viikon ajalta eri teemojen kautta. Teemojen taustat esitellään Ohjelmistokehitys ja sen eri osa-alueet-osiossa, missä on lähteenä hyödynnetty toimialan eri organisaatioiden julkaisuja ja artikkeleita. Jokaisen teeman raportointijakso kestää kaksi viikkoa ja merkintöjä näistä tehdään maanantaista torstaihin. Teemoista konkreettisesti opitut asiat käsitellään omassa luvussa päiväkirjamerkintöjen jälkeen. Tavoitteena opinnäytetyöllä oli kartoittaa kirjoittajan henkilökohtaisia kehityskohteita ohjelmoinnin ja ohjelmistokehityksen eri osa-alueiden parissa. Lisäksi pyrittiin vahvistamaan osaamista teemoihin liittyvissä teknologioissa ja syventämään itsetuntemusta oman osaamisen suhteen.

This thesis follows the daily work of a junior software developer over an eight week period, structured around different themes. The background for each theme is presented in the section Software Development and Its Various Areas, which draws on publications and articles from organizations within the industry. Each theme is explored over a two-week reporting period, with diary entries recorded from Monday to Thursday. Each theme’s outcomes, such as the practical skills and insights acquired, are reviewed in a separate chapter after the diary section. The aim of this thesis was to identify personal areas for development in both programming and other aspects of software development. Additionally, the objective was to enhance the author’s competence in the technologies and subject areas represented by the chosen themes, while also deepening the understanding of their own skills.
