The commercialization process is very similar regardless of the industry, geographical location or product. The general components of commercialization include market research, go-to-market strategy, pricing strategy, incubators and accelerators and partnerships. Due to the recent emergence of generative AI models, the use of AI in commercialization is also explored.
Start-ups play an integral role in local and global economies as well as enabling the entry of new technologies on the market. However, vast majority of start-ups fail which is why it is important to understand what are the best practices in the industry in order to mitigate the associated risks.
The aim of this Masters Thesis is to “Explore best practices of commercialization within the SaaS industry”.
This study was conducted from the SaaS industry perspective. In total 10 interviews were conducted with current and former founders where their commercialization journey was discussed.
