Tiivistelmä
This study examined general trends in the relationship between local government investment and the provision of protection services in Finland. The primary aim was to use data visualizations to explore whether changes in public funding aligned with patterns in protection service provision, as reflected in service rates per 1,000 residents.
Python was used within Visual Studio Code to process data and generate visualizations, while Streamlit enabled interactive presentation on a web platform. Line plots and heatmaps were employed to illustrate patterns in investment and service provision.
Rather than drawing firm conclusions, the visualizations provide an overview of potential associations between financial inputs and service outcomes.
