Tiivistelmä
This research focuses on the possibility of incorporating solar energy production systems in the operation of poultry farms and the related issues of cost and sustainability. The study looks at implementation of rooftop solar system on poultry structures in order to enhance energy independence and reduce emissions within areas where solar energy is abundant.

Based on principles of sustainable development, renewable energy utilization, and the circular economy concept, the research utilizes a qualitative research method that entails data collection and analysis of secondary data as well as case studies. Studies use concepts such as energy efficiency, viability, and policy implications to evaluate the possibility of integrating solar system in poultry farming. The study also reveals that the use of solar energy in the operational cost can greatly be cut and energy independence realized besides supporting climate change action plans. With the benefits as stated there are still some drawbacks such as high initial costs, organizational constraints as well as variability of the regulatory environment.

This research notifies that despite the potential of solar energy for efficient poultry farming, there is a need for specific financial and policy incentives for further enhancement.
