Nursing Roles in Medical Tourism

Abstract

Article is based on bachelor’s thesis that explores the evolving the roles of nurses in medical tourism. Using scoping review methodology, 11 studies were selected to identify the key concepts of nursing role. The study found 4 keys concepts of nursing competencies in medical tourism: cultural competence, administrative and managerial skills, legal and ethical awareness, and educational responsibilities. The study emphasizes the need for nurses to collaborate beyond multidisciplinary healthcare professionals and highlights the importance of integrating medical tourism studies into nursing education.
