Kansainvälisyysosaaminen sote-johtamisen YAMK-tutkinnoissa

Abstract

The social and health care workforce is becoming increasingly international, which requires managers and supervisors to possess international competence as well as language skills. UAS Master’s degree programmes in social and health care management should therefore address both language proficiency and international competence.

This article describes the current state of English-language internationalisation studies in Finnish UAS Master’s degree programmes in social and health care management. It also presents an example of a pilot course on international management implemented through collaboration between higher education institutions. Higher education must ensure that social and health care managers and supervisors acquire sufficient international competence to foster multicultural and inclusive workplaces.
