AI offers companies opportunities to streamline processes, improve productivity, and create innovation. A recent survey conducted by the Productivity with AI Project (2024) mapped the current state of using AI in Finnish companies, and the results showed that while AI has begun to be applied, the full potential of AI has yet to be realized. Lack of skills, limited resources, and uncertainty about application areas are slowing down large-scale adoption of AI.
To leverage the full potential of AI, organizations need to adopt a strategic approach, with strong leadership commitment and investment in human capital development. In the future, AI can be a key source of competitive advantage for companies that embrace its opportunities without prejudice. This raises a key question: Are companies ready to embrace AI and ensure they are not left behind?
