Tiivistelmä
The Covid 19 pandemic changed the working landscape, ever since we have seen some workers stayed at home and some workers changed into a hybrid model where they spend some days at the office and others from home. Eduhouse Oy is one company with workers in different working models, especially their subsidiary GoLearn in Denmark, which is a more office focused workplace compared to the hybrid and remote culture at Eduhouse. After the pandemic Eduhouse gave their workers the option to remain remote, an option the workers in Denmark also has, but prefers to go to the office. This thesis will help Eduhouse get a better understanding of their workers’ views on the different working models and how their employees feel that the different working models affect their well-being, productivity and connectedness. A qualitative study was conducted through semi-structured interviews to help answer the research questions 1) What are the differences in employee satisfaction and wellbeing across hybrid, remote, and office-based work models in a Nordic SaaS company? and 2) How do employees perceive flexibility, productivity, and connectedness under each model? The respondents felt that the freedom or the flexibility that their chosen work model gives them allows them to do their best and allows them to enable their private life. All respondents felt that their chosen working model has increased their job satisfaction and feel that the company supports them in their selection. The impact of remote and hybrid work is still being assessed, and we will see a more long term effect in the future.
