Design and theoretical development of a nurse-led enhanced oncology nursing model in Finland : FinCC 4.0 alignment and nanoparticle-based therapy : an innovative concept

Abstract

In this conceptual article, the author presents the Nurse-led Enhanced Oncology Nursing (NEO-Nurse) Model in Finland aligned with FinCC 4.0 to describe the design and theoretical development of the NEO-Nurse model by integrating ePRO with wearable/printed biosensor trends and a nurse-led triage dashboard with AI-supported risk flags to structure assessment, chemotherapy, education, symptom management and escalation. The NEO-Nurse model was developed using a narrative and integrative review of recent literature (2011–2025), identified through iterative database searches, citation tracing and Finnish government web sources. The NEO-Nurse model is not implemented or endorsed by any unit but is shared with a public dashboard prototype link to support future usability testing and pilots.
