Tiivistelmä
Software quality is the crucial part of software development. And integrating automation testing along with traditional manual testing is the common trends we see in organizations. But this unorganized testing phase can cause long software testing cycles, late detection of severe feature bugs, extending the planned release date etc. The biggest challenge for organizations nowadays with the cost they bare for this prolonged testing phase and the impacted release deadlines. Along with this the major challenge is to map the requirement traceability manually once the testing phase is completed. Which further delay the overall planned release cycle .

This thesis researched on approaches to bring down all the challenges due to this unorganized testing cycle. The analytical solution was to use shift left testing and integrating a solid test management tool for automating the traceability. In the final analysis, the role of shift left approach and test management tool brought down most of the challenges we faced before. The methodology includes describing the testing approach for organizing, managing and automating the quality also how to achieve requirement traceability automation using test management tool and version control. The study hypothesis is that having a solid test automation strategy aligned with compliance can bring wonders in software deliveries.
