Tiivistelmä
The aim of this study was to research what are the factors in the work of the specialists working in the regional public case organization that they find being purposeful. Additionally, the study surveys what are the things influencing the specialists experiencing the feeling of purpose in work. The results present the most affecting factors for experiencing purpose in work regarding the specialists and tells what factors they would consider found in a dream job.
The theoretical parts of the study discusses what is purpose in today’s world and how it can be found, in addition to why purpose is needed. The theory also focuses on different factors that affect on the experiment of purpose in an increasing or lowering way. It is brought up what lack of purpose can cause as well as how does a vocation or a dream job feel like.
For the research method, a questionnaire was executed for the specialists. The questionnaire got a response rate of 26,67 % resulting that most of the respondents felt they have found purpose in their work and were able to specify factors for finding or experiencing purpose in work. A fair salary, interesting tasks and a positive work community became the most ranked and mentioned important things for finding purpose.
