Tiivistelmä
Wise Energy Management Supervisor is a project that was designed with the objective of developing an economical and efficient building supervision system. This was achieved by leveraging KNX devices and incorporating advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques. The system was designed to revolutionize energy management by facilitating intelligent decision-making, precise control, and comprehensive data visualization through detailed dashboards. Key performance indicators (KPIs) related to energy usage, temperature regulation, lighting, and other relevant metrics were displayed prominently on these dashboards. The significance of the project was its potential to reduce electricity consumption in comparison to traditional electrical installations without management systems. Operating within the realms of energy management and building automation, the project prioritized efficient energy utilization, integration of renewable energy, and planning focused on human needs, thus ensuring thermal comfort, safety, and security for occupants.

A hybrid approach was employed as the methodology, which combined experimental and quantitative research methods. A prototype system, consisting of KNX devices and open-source software, was developed to simulate real-world building automation scenarios accurately. Data collected empirically from the system was subjected to rigorous statistical analysis, ensuring a robust evaluation of the system’s capabilities and its impact on energy efficiency. The project’s data exploitation efforts included energy consumption optimization, cost reduction, predictive maintenance, environmental sustainability, and predictive modelling.

The project, Wise Energy Management Supervisor, provided a comprehensive roadmap for cost-effective and environmentally responsible building supervision. This project has the potential to transform the way buildings are managed, making them more energy-efficient and in line with sustainable development.
